Initiatives Summary

Initiative #1 – Hand Signal for Help – See HERE

Stop All Rape invites organizations working on rape prevention and response, sex trafficking rescue, and child marriage to join together on three commitments:

• Unify around one recognized distress signal, so that a victim anywhere in the world meets one signal, not many.
• Coordinate promotion, so that every awareness campaign reinforces the same message rather than competing with it.
• Add a weapon alert. Stop All Rape proposes extending the signal with a simple additional movement that tells the responder the perpetrator is carrying a weapon. This is information that can change how a rescue is approached and keep both the victim and the responders safer. The specific movement will be designed and agreed jointly by the participating organizations, so that it remains discreet, easy to perform under stress, and safe.

No organization is asked to abandon its existing tools or branding. The aim is to strengthen the collective reach of a signal that has already proven itself.

Initiative #2 – Child Marriage

Stop All Rape would like to launch a national awareness initiative on child marriage in the United States, focused on the youngest children still being married off legally, some as young as 10, often to the men who raped them. The initiative will raise public awareness and drive a petition campaign urging people to write to their state legislators and demand a marriage age of 18 with no exceptions. All contacts will be provided.

This cannot be done alone, and it should not be. Stop All Rape will (hire someone to) reach out to organizations working on rape, sex trafficking, and child marriage to build one unified campaign, because a single loud voice from the whole sector is what puts rapists, traffickers, and the systems that shelter them on notice. We are asking for partnership, and we are offering ours.

Initiative #3 – Death Penalty for Pedophiles

Stop All Rape’s third initiative is a public contact hub built around a single question: should there be a death penalty for pedophiles? Stop All Rape takes no position and asks no one to adopt one. What we will do is remove every obstacle between a person and their government. We are building a database of contact information for legislators at both state and federal level, covering the “find my legislator” tools, governors, attorneys general, congressional switchboards, and the Judiciary Committees where the current bills sit, with names, phone numbers, official emails, contact forms, and mailing addresses. Alongside it we will provide educational material, including the state-by-state status of these laws and the constitutional questions raised by Kennedy v. Louisiana, so that anyone forming an opinion is forming an informed one. The position belongs to the citizen. The access belongs to everyone.

Initiative #4 – ReDirection Program (Finland) – See HERE

This initiative is about adopting Finland’s dark web ReDirection program, which delivers a help message to anyone searching for child sexual abuse material on participating dark web search engines and offers them an anonymous self-help program instead. Since September 2021, it has drawn over 80,000 visits, with 77 percent of respondents reporting reduced use and 49 percent stopping completely. Stop All Rape aims to raise awareness of this program and to encourage supporters to use our contact hub to request an equivalent program here in the United States. The hub holds contacts for state legislators, and federal contacts as well, so anyone who wants to can also write to Congress and the Department of Homeland Security. The letters are theirs to write. We simply make it easy.

Initiative #5 – Safety Badge – See HERE

The Safety Badge Initiative proposes one recognized active symbol, not a still image that can be copied, displayed on a child’s social media profile to show that the account is supervised by a parent or guardian. It works through a companion app, because Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat do not let outside apps place badges on profiles directly.

Parents sign up, verifies who they are with ID and a video selfie, and provides a link to their child’s account. The child confirms the person is their parent or guardian, and only then does the badge activate. The badge appears as a live link anyone can click to check, so its status is confirmed against a database in real time.

The same app also carries an emergency alert: the child taps the badge inside the app and an instant, silent notification goes straight to their parent, with no phone call, no visible sign of distress, and nothing anyone nearby would notice. The badge is an extra layer of protection, never a guarantee, and active supervision is still required.

The potential rests on several things at once:

• It deters without confrontation. Predators look for unsupervised children, and a visible marker of adult oversight makes a child a harder target.
• It reduces fake accounts. Predators typically open many false accounts, filled with invented details and AI-generated photos, to get close to children. This badge cannot be obtained that way. It requires a verified real adult, one badge per adult, with referral requirements and monitoring for unusual friend request patterns, so a person running dozens of fabricated profiles cannot enter the badged network at all.
• It creates a network within a network. Parents can allow connections between badged accounts with more confidence, which gives the badge practical value and not just symbolic value.
• It needs no legislation, no platform partnership, and no government mandate, so nothing can stall it.
• The app does something useful on its own. Even a parent who is unsure about the badge has a reason to install it, because the emergency alert gives their child a silent way to reach them.
• The way the badge is presented encourages children to be proud of having the badge as an extra layer of safety for themselves and their friends.
• Merchandise builds recognition ahead of the app, so parents meet a symbol (badge design / logo) they already know.
• Advocates chosen for genuine track records in child protection, rather than follower counts, give it credibility that celebrity endorsement alone cannot buy.
• It arrives to an audience already looking for it: parents who know the risk, feel the helplessness, and have almost nothing practical to reach for.

Initiative #6 – Global Online Summit

The final initiative is a global online summit convening every organization working on rape, sex trafficking, child marriage, and child sexual exploitation, followed by a permanent shared channel that keeps the room open once the summit closes. The agenda belongs to the participants: who needs what, what is working, what has broken through, where the gaps are, and which initiatives we are prepared to carry jointly rather than separately. Stop All Rape is not asking to lead it. We are asking to open the door and hold it open. Right now, organizations doing this work are doing it alone. Different groups fight the same or similar battles without ever speaking to each other. Put them in one room and that stops. We cannot do this alone, none of us can, and that is precisely the point.
